Leo Varadkar, Irish Welfare Minister who is gay by his sexual orientation is all set to become Ireland’s next Prime Minister. Varadkar hails from Mumbai and he practiced as a doctor before getting into politics.

Leo Varadkar came into limelight after he declared about his sexual orientation in 2015. His parents were shocked initially but later became very supportive according to Leo.
He will face Housing Minister Simon Coveney in his bid to become the next PM which will be decided by 2nd June. Varadkar has a fair chance of becoming the Prime Minister due to the solid support to him by the ruling Fine Gael party of Ireland.
Ireland’s PM, Kenny stepped down after six years. After Kenny’s resignation, he was appreciated by Leo Varedkar. Leo said, “Kenny had given hope to battered and bruised Ireland in 2011, he has brought back the country from the brink of economic collapse”.

About becoming the prime minister of Ireland he said: “I am really humbled by the level of support and I am really looking forward to the hustings and the debates”.
