Mother of two creates history by conquering Mt Everest twice in Five days

Anshu Jamsenpa (39), a mother of two teenage daughters created a mountaineering history by ascending twice to Mt Everest in five days time according to the  Managing Director of Dream Himalaya Adventures.

Anshu became the first women to achieve this feat. This was not her first attempt, In 2011 she double ascent Mt Everest in 10 days. She also holds the record for reaching the summit of three peaks in 6 days. O

On Sunday she scaled at the peak at 7:45 am IST along with Nepali climber Furi Sherpa and earlier she reached the peak on May 16th at 9:15 am to break the record.

On April 2, Dalai Lama flagged off the mountaineer’s double ascent expedition from Guwahati, Assam. “It is a historic moment for all woman climbers in the world,” Lama said.

Arunachal Chief Minister, Pema Khandu congratulated Anshu for her historic climb.
