”I will go and meet the farmers and listen to their concerns rather than sitting in my office” Chohan said.

The state has been under huge turmoil after farmers took the streets to protest for meeting their demands by the government and get a better price for their crops in the drought affected region. The region has recorded suicide every 5 hours in 2016-17, according to the reports.

The protest turned ugly when 6 farmers died in police farming on June 6th during the protest.

The violent protest spread to neighboring districts of Neemuch, Indore, Ujjain, Sehore, and Raisen of Madhya Pradesh.
