Date:

A one-year old startup, Mypetrolpump, has rolled out its diesel delivery services in the city of Bengaluru. The startup conducted a soft launch with three custom built vehicles, each with a capacity of 950 litres.

The startup delivers diesel at the prevailing market rate and charges a fixed delivery charge. As a launch promotion, the company will deliver fuel up to a 100 liters for Rs 99. For volumes higher than 100 liters, the consumer will have to pay one rupee per litre of diesel. The startup has around 20 regular customers, which includes schools, and has delivered more than 5,000 litres of diesel.

The startup currently specializes in diesel delivery as diesel is used in a wider range of applications, from vehicles to generators and industries, according to Ashish Kumar Gupta, founder of Mypetrolpump. The company uses vehicles that have been specially fabricated by a Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organization (PESO) approved firm and feature anti-siphoning systems to prevent theft and adulteration.
