Woman techie quits MNC job to follow her Air Force quest

Twenty-three-year-old Rucha Surendra Sial decided to follow her dreams and serve the country with and aspired for Air Force. She left her her high package IT job in Baner MNC to make her quest come to reality. Her efforts and determination finally paid off when she Rucha cleared the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT), the Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT).

She is now all set to get into Air Force. She gained the confidence to pursue her dreams after induction of three women pilots into the fighter squadron last year. Daughter of Income Tax superintendant mother and businessman father, she acknowledges her parents support to make her achieve this feat. She will be joining Air Force after 78 weeks of training in technical branch of world’s biggest Air Force.

She earned her degree from Pune Institute of Computer Science, but her aspiration never let her settle for anything else. Rucha also thanks her company and employers to give her flexible hours of work to prepare for the test.
