In an aftermath of the controversial “s***hole countries” comment, the Unites States President, Donald Trump faced a barrage of questions about the alleged claim that he referred to the immigrants from Haiti, El Salvador and African countries as “s***holes” in an immigration meeting at the White House.
After signing a proclamation at a Martin Luther King Jr Day event in the Roosevelt Room, a reporter directly questioned Trump on the statement.

‘Mr. President, will you apologize for the statement yesterday?’ she asked. Then, ‘Mr. President, are you a racist?’ she asked in a second attempt after he did not answer her the first time.
Dodging the questions, the President said goodbye to his guests and rushed out.
This comes a day after Trump had questioned why the US accepts immigrants from Haiti, El Salvador and some nations in Africa, calling those places “s***hole countries.” He is believed to have said that instead the US could take more immigrants from countries such as Norway, whose Prime Minister Trump had recently met.
“Why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?” he asked in the Oval Office.

The White House initially didn’t deny the remarks, which remained unchallenged by the Trump administration until a tweet from the President himself.
