PM Modi greets Manmohan Singh and Rahul at President’s ‘At Home’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress chief Rahul Gandhi at President Ram Nath Kovind’s ‘At Home’ reception for Asean leaders at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Modi was seen walking up to Manmohan Singh and his wife Gursharan Kaur with folded hands as he greeted the couple. He also met the Gandhi scion.

Rahul and Congress were not happy for being offered 6th row seat at the Republic Day.

President Kovind had on Thursday hosted the heads of state and government of the member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) who attended the Commemorative Summit to mark 25 years of the India-Asean Dialogue Partnership on Thursday.

The visiting dignitaries from Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam were the chief guests at the Republic Day parade as well.

Earlier in the day, during Republic Day the President turned emotional as he was awarding Ashok Chakra.
