Punjab’s most wanted, Vicky Gounder dead

Punjab’s most-wanted, Harjinder Singh Bhullar alias Vicky Gounder and his aide, Prema Lahoriya have been shot dead in an encounter with the Punjab Police last evening.

The incident with the police in a village near Mtook place at Muktsar on Punjab-Rajasthan border.

Gounder was the mastermind behind the 2016 Nabha Jailbreak among other high-profile crimes.

“Vicky Gounder and Prema Lahoriya were killed during an encounter with police. This was an intelligence-based operation”, Dinkar Gupta, DGP Intelligence said.

“Two policemen were also injured in the operation”, he informed.

Punjab Chief Minister, Captain Amarinder Singh took to Twitter to congratulate Punjab Police, “Congratulations to Punjab Police for killing most wanted gangster Vicky Gounder and his aide Prema Lahoriya. Excellent work by DGP Suresh Arora, DG Intelligence Dinkar Gupta and OCCU team, including AIG Gurmeet Singh and Inspector Vikram Brar. Proud of you boys”.
