The ace director, Majid Majidi, has placed his bets on two Indian actors, Ishaan Khattar and Malavika Mohanan, for his upcoming film Beyond The Clouds. The Hindi trailer of the film is out now and it’s 2:15-minutes of intense fun.
Ishan, who is Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor’s half-brother, is playing a Mumbai lad who wants to earn quick bucks and thus starts working for a drug cartel racket. He holds Malvika’s Tara in high regard, but things turn upside down when Tara gets arrested for a crime she hasn’t committed. AR Rahman’s background score and Majidi’s technically brilliant camera work transport the audience to the dirty, dingy bylanes where survival is the foremost challenge, leave aside living a dignified life.
Produced by Zee Studios and Namah Pictures, Beyond The Clouds narrates a heart-warming tale of two slum kids, and how they find happiness in separation and turbulent time.
Known for masterpieces like Children of Heaven, The Color of Paradise and Baran, Majidi has a knack of weaving magic on screen with new faces. Will e be doing this again with Beyond The Clouds?
