One of the most prestigious award ceremony Oscars 2018 will commence this Sunday and actors throughout the world are longing for the trophy.
Though A-list movie stars are hardly short of cash and extravagant gifts with their megabucks paychecks and endless perks, the nominees of the Oscars will have ridiculous gifts this year.
The goodie bags that are handed out to the Oscars nominees include Frances McDormand, Gary Oldman, Denzel Washington and Sally Hawkins, ahead of Sunday’s ceremony in Los Angeles.
Even though the Academy itself doesn’t dish out bags, LA-based company Distinctive Assets is behind this year’s unofficial swag bag. As per reports, the swag bag includes a number of mind-blowing gifts, including free trips to Tanzania, Hawaii and Greece.
However, there are plenty of other less extravagant presents to take homes such as locally-grown oranges, sweets and drinks.
Other gifts include organic vegan lollipops from Delicacies Candy & Confections, Rouge Maple maple syrup, Southern Wicked Lemonade and Quincy Herbals tea.
And for those who are not a fan of sweet treats, they can enjoy the steel vacuum lunch box, cookbook or the wearable forearm water bottle.
The bag also comes with pepper spray for self-defence, patches to quell underarm sweat, a course to help you “shrink bad memories.” It also has a children’s book “empowering young girls to love all their unique features” and a box of 199 cards emblazoned with “positive actions and quotes”.
Following the Me Too movement and Time’s Up, the goodie bags also contain several items that address the wave of sexual assault, harassment and rape allegations which have been sweeping Hollywood.
Other intriguing items for 2018 include a “saliva collection kit”, a blood red PETA bath bomb (cruelty-free and vegan of course), “holistic” pet food and an invitation to the pre-launch of the NeverMissed dating app.
A Mexican soda company is also donating to a charity of the star’s choice and Halo’s Purely Pets pet food will donate 10,000 bowls in the nominee’s name to an animal shelter.
