Another horrifying incident; Father rapes his 10-year old daughter

According to a report in News 18, a 10-year old girl was raped by her father when her mother left them alone at home on Saturday.

A complaint has been filed by the victim’s mother at the Mahoba Police station and the police have registered an FIR. The police arrested the accused father on Monday. According to the report, a medical examination has confirmed that the girl was raped.

As cited by the police, the report that was filed said, that the complainant, a mother of three, had left her 10-year old daughter- the second of her three children- at home on Saturday afternoon when she went to a field in a neighbouring village to work.

The incident took place in Subhash Nagar area of Mahoba city on Saturday. The girl’s mother is a farm labourer and would often leave behind children with their father when she would go out to work. A day after the incident, she came to the Mahoba Kotwali police station with her daughter and filed the complaint,” Jitendra Kumar Dubey, Mahoba’s Circle Officer (City) was quoted as saying by the report. A case has been registered against the father under Section 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
