Yogi’s Karnataka Blitzkreig, to address 35 rallies

UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will be the major star campaigner for BJP in Karnataka ahead of the election in May. According to Mrityunjay Kumar, media advisor to UP Chief Minister, he will be attending as many as 35 public rallies, along with road shows in Karnataka on May 3. Yogi will address 4-5 rallies a day across constituencies.

Sources says, being a religious leader Yogi has a personal connect with some of the top leaders of Lingayat community and will have a larger appeal than other leaders in the Karnataka.

Yogi have also was extensively campaigned during the Gujarat elections and before that in Kerala when the BJP and the RSS were engaged in a political show of strength with ruling Left Front.

However, lately Yogi Adityanath feeling the political heat after some political events in Uttar Pradesh and major issues relating to governance. The defeat in Phulpur and Gorakhpur Lok sabha bypolls, a BJP MLA was accused of rape. Questions were raised on CM’s ability as a politician and administrator after the state government attempted to save the rape accused.

Amidst this political onslaught, the part has put a major responsibility on him for the battle of Karnataka
