Singapore Airlines discontinues peanuts on the flight

Date:

Singapore Airlines states that it has stopped serving peanuts on the flight since Monday, April 30 to passengers flying in all the classes.

This decision was taken after a toddler suffered from an allergic reaction from peanuts that were opened by other passengers on the flight and he started throwing up and his eyes began to swell, and a few other cases on its other carriers.

Earlier Qantas, Air New Zealand, and British Airways, too discontinued this snack on account of a similar concern.

Singapore Airlines has said that it has stopped peanuts but is continuing with cashew nuts, almonds, and macadamias for a few classes.
