Yogi Adityanath cuts short Karnataka visit

A massive dust storm in his Uttar Pradesh has forced Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to cut short his campaign at Karnataka. Yogi was campaigning for BJP for the upcoming crucial elections in Karnataka. Yogi Adityanath will return to Agra tonight a day after more than 70 people were killed in the storm yesterday.

The weather office has predicted more thunderstorms in parts of the country including Uttar Pradesh.

The campaign in Karnataka was scheduled till Saturday noon and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was suppose to leave after addressing two more election meetings.

His decision to stay in Karnataka had been sharply criticised by many including Karnataka Chief Minister and Congress leader Siddaramaiah, who took on to twitter to express sorrow and attack Yogi Adityanath.


Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, criticised Yogi Adityanath by saying that the 45-year-old monk-politician should have returned to Uttar Pradesh immediately.

“People chose Yogi Adityanath to solve the issues of their state, not for politics in Karnataka. If he cannot return even in such circumstances, then he should form a math and stay in Karnataka forever,” Akhilesh Yadav tweeted on Thursday.


Yogi Adityanath will visit Agra tonight, and review the relief and restoration works on Sunday and later leave for Kanpur to monitor the relief work there.
