Khattar backs Hindu right-wing says, Namaz should be offered in mosques

Date:

The Haryana Chief Minister (CM), Manohar Lal Khattar today broke his silence on attacks on Muslims offering namaz in Gurugram by alleged Hindu right-wing activists. The CM has sided with the members of the right-wing Hindu groups, who allegedly prevented people from offering namaz at open spaces in Gurugram.

Addressing the media, the BJP leader said that there was a considerable rise in people offering namaz in the open, which should be offered in Mosques or Idgahs.

“It is our duty to maintain law and order. There has been an increase in offering namaz in the open. Namaz should be read in Mosques or Idgahs rather than public spaces,” Khattar said.

As per reports, the right-wing Hindu groups visited at least six places in the city where namaz was offered every Friday and allegedly prevented people from doing so.
