Alia Bhatt surprised one and all when she made an entrance to Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja’s wedding reception accompanied by Ranbir Kapoor. Their appearance added to the buzzing rumours of an alleged relationship between the two which sparked after the duo were spotted together on various occasions during the shoot of their film ‘Brahmastra’. However, Alia’s fondness for Ranbir has not developed recently.
During her appearance on Karan Johar’s chat show in 2013, the actress couldn’t stop gushing as she recalled her first conversation with Ranbir Kapoor. The actress had said, “I remember the first time I spoke to Ranbir. You (Karan Johar) called him up when Rockstar just released and you said, ‘Here, talk to Ranbir. Tell him how much you love him’. And I spoke so much rubbish. I was just talking non-stop, and he was like, ‘Yeah, that’s very nice, Alia.”

Alia had further gone on to say, “Obviously, I have hung out with him after that, and I still think he is really adorable. And I still want to marry him.” The actor later reportedly clarified that she only said that as a fangirl of the actor.
And now, when Ranbir was quizzed about his relationship status with Alia Bhatt in an Interview, the ‘Barfi’ actor said, “It’s too new to talk about it.”
Recently during the press conference of IIFA 2019 in Delhi, Ranbir was asked about Alia’s girl crush on him, he said, ”Well, I have a boy crush on her now”. Alia’s mentor Karan Johar was also present at the event went ‘Awww’ at Ranbir’s reply.
Ranbir also went on to praise her ‘Brahmastra’ co-star Alia for her latest release, ‘Raazi’, and called it one of the greatest films ever made in Indian cinema. ‘Brahmastra’ also features Amitabh Bachchan in a pivotal role.
