Don’t restrict pedaling to World Cycling Day; here’s why

Date:

As one of the simplest and fun forms of exercise cycling has numerous health benefits. As a medium of transport it is environmentally friendly. Moreover the pace can be set by the cyclist.

As it is World Cycling Day let us revisit the benefits of cycling:

  • A study conducted by scientists at Stanford University, shows that those who cycle tend to have a better, younger looking skin. This is because the increased circulation delivers the nutrients and oxygen to the skin cells more readily. At the same time it flushes out the harmful substances. The respiratory muscles become stronger, increasing oxygen supply and improve lung ventilation.
