Tendulkar takes on the Fitness Challenge; urges people to ‘play the sport they love’

Taking on the fitness challenge ‘Hum fit Toh India Fit’ started by the sports minister, the God of cricket, Sachin Tendulkar, on Thursday shared a video on Twitter, urging fans to play the sport they love. He also nominated others to take on the challenge.

Till now celebrities responded to the challenge by posting videos of their work-outs. Tendulkar changed the flavour of the challenge by ‘playing the sport he loves.’

Tendulkar also passed on the baton to Indian footballer Sandesh Jhingan, Hockey player Sardara Singh, cricketers Virat Kohli and Mithali Raj, along with badminton players Srikanth Kidambi and P. V. Sindhu to join in and motivate youth to engage in sports.

The challenge, initiated Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore on May 22, was received well, with people from all walks of life accepting it including the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Hrithik Roshan, Virat Kohli, Harsh Vardhan, minister of science and technology and Jayant Sinha, minister of state for civil aviation to name a few.
