Mumbaikars may not get their lunch dabbas today

Date:

With over two lakh lunchbox dabbas delivered every day in Mumbai, today it seems that those who live on only these boxes for their lunch will have to find alternatives for their food.

Many delivery services use trains to deliver the lunchboxes, however, today due to the collapse of a road overbridge in Andheri, the train services have been affected majorly.

The Gokhale bridge that connects Andheri East and Andheri West collapsed on the tracks near the Andheri station.

Road and railway traffic has been disrupted leading to grave inconvenience to the people of Mumbai.

All local trains on Western Suburban line have been disrupted due to technical issues between Andheri and Vile Parle.

There is also a possibility that some people might have been trapped in the debris of the fallen bridge as reported by the police officials.

Traffic on the route has been seized and the commuters are stuck in a three-kilometre long traffic jam.
