The 30-share BSE Sensex gained 145.14 points and Nifty50 ended 53.1 on Friday ending the week in the green. Sensex ended at 36,496.37 whereas Nifty settled at 11,010.20.
Earlier in the day, Sensex surged more than 200 points to a high of 36,567.34, with RIL hitting an all-time high and most shares of the IT companies rose on rupee’s weakness.
Investors took fresh positions ahead of the outcome of the no-confidence motion against the government in the Lok Sabha.
