The Battle Of Saragarhi holds a significant place in the Indian history. All 21 Sikh soldiers fought to the death in the battle against 10,000 Afghans, which is often cited as one of the most memorable examples of military last-stands.
The Kesari poster features a fictionalised version of all 21 Sikh soldiers with Akshay Kumar taking the centre-stage as Havildar Ishar Singh, who lead the Sikh soldiers in the battle.
Directed by Anurag Singh, the film also stars Parineeti Chopra. Jointly produced by Dharma Productions, Cape of Good Films and Azure Entertainment, Kesari is set to release on 21 March 2019.
