War of words over Apple executive’s murder; complaint against Delhi CM over ‘Hindu’ comment

Date:

After Apple executive was shot dead by the Uttar Pradesh police in the state, politics and war of words has broken out, with Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal at the centre of it.

The AAP leader attacked the UP and BJP government of ‘crimes against Hindu’ while accusing the present government of playing politics on religion. On his Twitter handle, he wrote, “Vivek Tiwari was Hindu. Then why was he killed? The BJP leaders across the country rape Hindu girls. Open your eyes. BJP are not pro-HIndu. They can even kill all the Hindus in order to form the government.”

A day after Kejriwal’s tweet, lawyer Ashwini Upadhyay lodged a complaint against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in Delhi’s Tilak Marg police station under sections 153A, 295A, 504 & 505 IPC & Section 67 of IT Act for promoting enmity on the grounds of caste & religion & defaming BJP leaders.

His comments, especially bringing religion into this matter, angered a number of people, including Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwary and former AAP leader and close companion of Kejriwal, Kumar Vishwas.

Manoj Tiwary was the first to respond to the statement made by the Delhi CM, and he accused him of playing politics on this matter. His message on Twitter read, “Please look at the small mentality of Arvind Kejriwal. Santosh Kohli’s mother is fighting for justice against Kejriwal. Vivek Tiwari was murdered and the culprit will get punishment. We stand with his family.”

After the Delhi BJP, it was the turn of Kumar Vishwas to lash out at Kejriwal for his post. The twitter message on his handle on this issue read, “किसी का बेटा मरे या देश में आग लगे, वोटों के घुंघुरू बाँध कर नाचती सियासी तवायफ़ों के बेशर्म पाँव कभी नहीं रुकते दीन में,धर्म में,ईमान में उलझे रहिये, बस दिखावे की चमक,शान में उलझे रहिये, देश को लूट रहे हैं ये सियासी ताजिर, आप बस हिन्दू मुसलमान में उलझे रहिये. (सलमान ज़फ़र)”

These comments by the politics bigwig comes after a Apple employee was shot down by the UP police. The incident angered the whole country, given the man was shot down by an official after he noticed a suspicious activity when he was asked to stop his car.
