Fuel prices cut by Rs 2.5; 14 states to give additional cuts

The common man who was under the pressure of the sky high fuel prices got relief after Finance Minister Arun Jaitley announced that the centre has cut Rs 2.5 for the fuel prices across the country. Jaitley further urged all the state Chief Ministers to cut down the prices so that it comes down to Rs 5/litre.

Here is the list of all the 14 states:

  • Maharashtra

  • Gujarat

  • Goa

  • Uttar Pradesh

  • Jammu and Kashmir

Petrol & Diesel prices in Jammu and Kashmir were also slashed by Rs 5 per litre as the State Gov announced cut of Rs 2.50 in the fuel prices commensurate with the price cut of Rs 2.50.

  • Assam

  • Tripura

  • Himachal Pradesh

Himachal Pradesh government decided to give an additional relief of ₹2.5/litre on petrol & diesel to give the total benefit of ₹5/litre in the state: Himachal Pradesh CM Jai Ram Thakur announced.

  • Madhya Pradesh

  • Jharkhand

  • Haryana

  • Uttarakhand

Uttarakhand government decided to give an additional relief of ₹2.5/litre on petrol & diesel to give the total benefit of ₹5/litre in the state.

  • Arunachal Pradesh
