Pre-launch specs give more tech-backed power to the 2019 BMW S1000RR

The upcoming 2019 BMW S1000RR is one of the most awaited unveiling of the of the EICMA show in Milan in November, this year.

The technical details and specifications of the upcoming sports bike have been doing rounds on the internet ahead of the official unveiling.

From the specs, that are unofficially released, it seems that the updated BMW S1000RR will get more technology and power than the current model.

The 2019 BMW S1000RR gets a new 999 cc, in-line four cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with ‘ShiftCam’ variable valve technology. The ‘ShiftCam’ technology is essentially BMW Motorrad’s unique variable valve technology which debuted earlier this year on the new BMW R 1250 GS.

The output, as per the unofficial set of specs, is 207 bhp at 13,500 rpm and a peak torque of 113 Nm at 11,000 rpm.

The sports bike will weigh 197 kg when fully fuelled, while the optional M Package with carbon fibre parts will have a kerb weight of 193.5 kg.

Standard equipment in the new S1000RR includes four riding modes- Rain, Road, Dynamic and Race- dynamic traction control (DTC), Hill Start Control (HSC), and Shift Assist Pro as well as a new full-colour TFT display.

The BMW Motorrad will most probably introduce the new S1000RR in India by early 2019 in India.
