Watch: Vietnamese students sing ‘Sabarmati ke Sant’ for President Kovind

President Ram Nath Kovind, in his first of the two cities visit to Vietnam and Australia, Monday, tweeted a video of a the Vietnamese students singing ‘Sabarmati ke Sant’ during the Indian community reception at Hanoi.

President Kovind expressed his delight in his tweet and stating, “Mahatma Gandhi’s message of non-violence continues to inspire millions across the world!”

Earlier yesterday, the spouses of Embassy Staff and Students of University of Vietnam also sang the song ‘Yeh Dosti Hum Nahi Todenge’, at the event in the Vietnamese capital which was attended by President Kovind and his wife, Savita Kovind.

President Kovind, on Monday, visited the My Son temple complex in Vietnam, which has the Hindu deities such as Krishna, Vishnu and Shiva in itself and planting a tree sapling as well.

President Kovind also addressed the Indian diaspora in Hanoi where he said that India-Vietnam friendship was civilizational. “The Indian community in Vietnam plays an important part in promoting bilateral ties and creating opportunities for the local economy and society,”he said.
