17-year-old boy beats mom with broom, video goes viral

In a shocking incident, a seventeen-year-old boy was seen beating his mother with a broom in a video shared on social media by their neighbour.

According to sources, the mother was scolding him over his bad habits. On watching the video on social media, police have opened a case and are looking for the boy who has gone absconding after the crime.

The boy named Jeevan was reprimanded by Shubha, his mother after she discovered that he had been smoking cigarettes from some pictures. Further in the video, the boy was also seen threatening his mother to complain to the police against him, while beating her. A case has been registered at the JP Nagar police station under IPC 324, 354, 509, and under sections of the COPTA Act.

In the video clip, the mother was sitting on a sofa while her son was scolding her for badmouthing him and threatening her to stop discussing marks with their neighbours. Reportedly, the mother had spoken to the neighbours about his habits and how he does not focus on his studies. His sister also tried to intervene and save their mother, however, Jeevan told her that he would not care if she approached the police.
