Bengaluru: 2 dead, 8 injured as under-construction building collapses

Two people lost their lives and eight got injured after the third floor of an under-construction multi-level car parking building in APMC premise in RMC Yard in North Bengaluru collapsed around 4 am on Friday, said the police.

A team of Karnataka Fire and Emergency Services rescued all five labourers who were trapped.

The deceased have been identified as Rahul and Rakesh, aged in their early twenties and natives of West Bengal and Bihar, the police said. The eight injured have been shifted to KC General and Kanva Hospital nearby.

The RMC Yard police have taken up a case under IPC section 304-A and have booked the builder for criminal negligence causing deaths and endangering lives of other labourers. The police are investigating further.
