Did Hema Malini fly in to cut the crops? Here’s the truth

Date:

A picture of MP Hema Malini is going viral on social media which claims that the actress flew in a helicopter to harvest crops.

“Gosh – so much progress under Modiji! Women farmers are provided helicopter services to go to their fields for harvesting!
Image: 2015” – the caption read.

FACT CHECK

When we fact-checked the claim, we found out that it is false.

We put the image through Reverse Image Search and found a tweet by the actress herself. One of the pictures was posted back in 2015 and the caption read ” Day 2 of campaigning – leaving frm Patna”

And as far as the second picture is concerned, we traced it back to 2014. We found the photo on a facebook page, and it was uploaded in April 2014.

On observing the pictures closely, you will also notice that the sarees she is wearing are different.

This shows that the pictures were taken on different days and the claim is false.
