Kanpur ordnance factory blast kills one, four injured

An explosion in a boiler at an ordnance factory in Kanpur that took place on Tuesday took away the life of a worker while four others sustained grievous injuries.

As per the Ram Sumer, chief of Ordnance Factory Hospital, the injured workers have been rushed to the Regency Hospital.

Sources said that the nitrogen cylinder, which was attached to the barrel of LFG (light field gun) exploded.

Officials at the factory have not given any statement till now. More details are awaited.
