SOTY2 posters are out, ‘Are you ready to take the challenge?’
The sequel, ‘Student of the year 2’ will launch Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria who will star alongside Tiger Shroff. The trio also made their debut in Karan Johar’s chat show, Koffee with Karan and talked about their experience of shooting the film. Since then the audiences have been awaiting the release of the first look and teaser. On Tuesday, the actors in the film shared a post on social media teasing the fans.

The makers have dropped the first look of the film on social media with a caption, ‘Are you ready to take the challenge?’ The release date of the teaser and film have also been shared.

Student of the Year 2‘s trailer will drop on April 12 and the film is set to release on May 10, 2019. The film is being helmed by Punit Malhotra and stars Tiger Shroff in the leading role with newcomers Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria.
EC bans the release of PM Modi biopic ahead of 2019 LS poll
Just a day ahead of its release and the beginning of the first phase of 2019 Lok Sabha election, the Election Commission of India (ECI) on Wednesday banned the release of biopic on the prime minister ‘PM Narendra Modi’, saying any such film that subserves purpose of any political entity or individual should not be displayed in the electronic media.
The film was supposed to be released on April 11. The release of the film was earlier delayed on grounds of pending certification clearance.
“Any biopic material in nature of biography sub-serving the purpose of any political entity or any individual entity connected to it, which has potential to disturb level playing field during the election, should not be displayed in electronic media, including cinematography,” the poll body said in a statement.
