Teenager shot dead while filming a TikTok video, accused arrested

A 19-year-old was allegedly shot dead by his friend as they posed with a pistol while they attempted to make a TikTok video on their phone. The police confirmed the incident on Sunday.

As reported to a news agency, on Saturday, Salman along with his friends Sohail and Amir went out for a drive to India Gate. While returning Sohail who was sitting on the passenger seat pulled out a country-made pistol to make a video. Salman was driving the car and he aimed the pistol a Salman while it accidentally went off shooting him on his left cheek.

The incident occurred near Ranjit Singh Flyover, adjacent to Barakhamba Road in central Delhi. Amir was sitting at the back during this time and they immediately drove to Sohail’s relative’s place in Daryaganj to change his clothes.

They then took Salman to the LNJP Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. Late at night, the hospital authorities informed the police about the incident. The police have registered a murder case and a case under the Arms Act have been registered at Barakhamba Police Station. The three accused Amir, Sohail and Sohail’s relative were taken into custody.

The investigation of the intent is underway as the police are figuring if the victim was shot accidentally.
