Baba Ramdev did not get operated in Germany; here’s the fact check

A picture is making rounds on social media in which yoga guru Baba Ramdev can be seen in a hospital.

It is being claimed that Ramdev has gone to Germany to get treatment done for his knee.

The caption of the picture says, “साला कानिया दुनिया को बोलता हे योग करो स्वदेशी अपनाओ निरोग रहोगे और खुद घुटनो का ऑपरेशन जर्मनी में करवाता हे”

FACT CHECK

Team of fact-checkers at NewsMobile checked the viral picture and found that the claim attached to the photo is FAKE.

On putting the image through Reverse Image Search, we found the original picture which was clicked by newswire PTI, in which Baba RamDev can be seen in the hospital.
The photo was taken on June 13, 2011 in Dehradun. Yoga guru Baba Ramdev was taken to  Dehradun’s Himalayan Hospital for treatment after fasting for 9 days continuously.
The above information proves that the claim is FAKE and the post shouldn’t be shared.
