Kabir Singh trailer: A rebel with a cause, Shahid Kapoor is the new ‘Angry young man’

Shahid Kapoor has nailed it, in the much-anticipated trailer of Kabir Singh which dropped on Monday. His portrayal of the rebellious and temperamental doctor steals the show and piques your curiosity.

The trailer has all the flavours of a Bollywood masala film but with a twist and Shahid, who is present in almost all the frames makes his mark as an ‘Angry young man’ who has gone awry because of love.

The trailer opens with Kabir Singh played by Shahid, an alcohol and drug addict with anger issues. It is revealed in the trailer that he is struggling due to his separation from his love interest, Preeti (Kiara Advani) and in the process has become self-destructive.

Shahid shared a post on his social media account announcing the release of the trailer.

The movie is the Hindi remake of Telugu hit ‘Arjun Reddy’. The original film was a blockbuster hit with Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey in the main lead.

The film is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Murad Khetani, Krishan Kumar, and Ashwin Varde. Kabir Singh is coming to a theatre near you on June 21, 2019.
