Fact Checked: Here’s the truth behind the viral picture of this little girl

A picture has gone viral on social media in which a kid can be seen on a hospital bed holding a placard.

The placard read: “I have cancer I don’t have parents! I have nobody who will pray for me.”

At the time of filing this report, the above post was shared by over 1.6 lakh Facebook users.

FACT CHECK

When NewsMobile came across this picture, we found it to be FAKE.

On putting the picture through Reverse Image Search we found the original picture in which something else was written on the placard.

In the original picture, the text on placard read: “Cancer it came I beat it end of story“.

According to reports, the girl in the picture is Madison Merrick from New Zealand. She travelled to the United Kingdom to undergo lifesaving surgery to cure cancer.

The picture was uploaded on her Facebook page Madison Merrick.

Hence, this proves that the viral picture is manipulated using Photoshop software.
