A few gory and disturbing images are doing rounds on social media where a man can be seen Beheadcarrying a severed head to a police station.
The text attached to the pictures claims that a man in Chennai beheaded another man for raping his sister.

When NewsMobile fact-checked the post, we found the claim to be FAKE.
On putting the images through Google Reverse Image Search with keywords’ man’, ‘ Chennai’ and ‘ behead’ lead us to several media reports on the incident.
A per the reports, the incident took place in Mandya district of Karnataka and not Chennai. Moreover, it occurred on 29 September 2018.
Reports state that the accused Pashupathi brought the severed head of Girish (28). According to the police, Pashupathi and Girish got into a fight as the latter spoke ill about the Pashupathi’s mother.
The above information proves that the claim with the pictures is fake.
