Bihar tragedies: Other than Encephalitis, road rage cases also on an increase

Even as Bihar suffers from the encephalitis menace, the cases of reported deaths due to road rage are also on an increase.

Three children were killed and one sustained injuries after a speeding car ran over them while they were sleeping on a footpath in Patna, at midnight on Tuesday, June 25.

There were two people in the car, when they met with the accident. The Locals thrashed the driver of the car to death.

The Police filed the case under ‘Hit and Run’.

The incident took place when the speeding car ran over the kids and flipped over the footpath, after which locals staged a protest and thrashed the car driver to death.
Further investigation in the matter is underway.

In another incident, at least three people died and 12 were injured after a bus rammed into an electric pole on Wednesday, in Kawakol, Bihar.

The injured passengers were immediately rushed to the nearest hospital.

According to sources, an injured victim reported, “I heard someone shouting ‘stop! stop!’ and all of a sudden the bus crashed into an electricity pole,”
The passengers were headed to Jamui from Madopo village to attend a religious festival.

The state of Bihar seems to have been cursed by the angel of death, as encephalitis related death toll continuously rises in Bihar. Cases like the ones reported above, are only adding to the misery.
