Did Ministry of Road Transport and Highways issue this circular? No, it’s FAKE!

A picture post has surfaced on different social media platforms in which a circular issued by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways can be seen.

As per the notice, if a truck is found carrying load above the permitted limit, the truck driver will be imprisoned for six months and his driving licence will get cancelled for three years.

Further, it says that an FIR will be filed against the truck owner and heavy penalty will be levied on owner, consignor and consignee.
