Mumbai: 3-YO boy falls in gutter in Goregaon, rescue operations underway

In a shocking incident, a toddler in Mumbai’s Goregaon area accidentally fell in a gutter close to a footpath on Wednesday. According to a tweet by ANI, the 3-year-old boy fell in a gutter in Ambedkar Nagar area of Goregaon around 10:24 PM on July 10.

As soon as the incident was reported, police rushed to the spot to take a stock of the situation. The rescue operations are currently underway.

In a 0.27 second video shared by ANI, the toddler is seen coming out, probably from his house, and walking on the footpath. The CCTV footage of the incident shows that while the boy walks back to his house, he falls into the gutter.

Mumbai has been witnessing a heavy downpour since Wednesday morning. The rains are set to ease from Thursday in the city and its surrounding areas.

According to IMD, Mumbai and Thane are likely to get heavy rain at isolated places (measured as a range from 64.5-115.5 mm in a given day) on Thursday. The national Met agency also changed its warning level from ‘orange’ to ‘yellow’ for Thursday.
