A man has been arrested in Nagpur for allegedly smashing his girlfriend’s face on suspicion of her ‘character’, on Sunday. The girl lost her life in the incident.
A Nagpur police official stated that they received reports of a body being found on the Pandhurna-Nagpur highway.
The body was later identified to be that of Khushi Parihar, a resident of Nagpur, and the accused was identified as Ashraf Sheikh.
Khushi, who was an aspiring model, used to participate in local fashion shows and the police identified her from her social media handle.
On his arrest, Ashraf Sheikh confessed to the crime and reasoned his actions on grounds of an alleged affair, that he thought his girlfriend was having with some other youths.

According to the police, Ashraf Sheikh travelled with Khushi Parihar in his car on July 12 and later allegedly killed her by crushing her head at Savli Fata near Pandhurna-Nagpur highway.
Further investigations are under way.
