Akshay Kumar may soon be seen as Ajit Doval, National Security Advisor to PM Narendra Modi, in Neeraj Pandey’s next film. Akshay already has three films lined up for release — ‘Mission Mangal’, ‘Housefull 4’ and ‘Good News’.
And, he is all set to start 2020 with a bang with Rohit Shetty’s upcoming directorial ‘Sooryavanshi’, which marks their first outing together on the big screen.

Apart from being a part of films which are of comedy and action genre, Akshay is also working in socially relevant films based on several historic events which took place in our country. Now as per reports in Mumbai Mirror, Akshay is all set to reunite with Neeraj Pandey on a film based on the career highlights of the current National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister of India, Ajit Doval. The film is currently on the scripting stage and has a long way to go on floors.
Neeraj Pandey who has helmed the actor in ‘Special 26’, ‘Baby’ and ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’, the film is reportedly supposed to be a thriller and will showcase the current National Security Advisor’s career highlights. The work on the scripting and research is underway but there’s still time before the project goes into production.
“Neeraj will first make ‘Chanakya’ with Ajay Devgn, which was announced a few months ago. Akshay also has to complete prior commitments. The team wants to lock the script before making an official announcement,” a report quoted a source close to the development as saying.
In Vicky Kaushal’s Uri: The Surgical Strike, Govind Bhardwaj, the character of Paresh Rawal was reportedly inspired by Ajit Doval.
