Heavy rains to lash Hyderabad for the next three days: IMD

Hyderabad: The Indian Meteorological Department has forecasted heavy rains and thunderstorms in the city over the next three days. Thunderstorms have been forecasted for Monday and heavy rains for Tuesday and Wednesday.

Even as the South-West monsoons withdraws after its powerful impact this year in the entire nation, it has left cities flooded and exposed the pathetic state of urban infrastructure.

Heavy rains on Sunday caused massive inconvenience to the people who witnessed fallen trees, traffic jams and water logged roads. The Malla Reddy hospital located at Quthbullapur saw knee deep water entering the hospital premised and even the Intensive Care Unit, thereby inconveniencing patients.

 

 

According to Telenagana State Development Planning Society, many areas of the city witnessed rains up to 10 Cm.

 

The city police has advised early travel and alternative routes to be taken as water logging has caused delays and pile up of vehicles.
