Renowned saxophonist and Padma Shri awardee Kadri Gopalnath passed away at the age of 69 in Mangaluru on Friday morning.
Gopalnath was suffering from age-related issues, according to reports. He died at a hospital after being reportedly admitted on Thursday following his illness.

He is survived by his wife Sarojini and two sons, Manikanth Kadri who is a noted music director, Guruprasad Kadri, who is now in Kuwait, and a daughter Ambika Mohan.
According to reports, the Padma Shri recipient’s body will be kept at the Town Hall to enable people to pay the last respect once his elder brother arrives from Kuwait.
