PVR enters Sri Lanka, opens a 9-screen multiplex

PVR Cinemas, a film exhibition firm has opened up its first multiplex in Sri Lanka on Friday. PVR said that it is a 9-screen multiplex spread across 38,454 square feet with a seating capacity of 1,176.

This multiplex has come up at the One Galle Face Mall located in Colombo.

Sri Lanka is a middle-income country and this only adds to the growing number of Indian companies operating out of the island nation.

This was part of PVR’s business strategy for the Financial Year 2019-20.

This is expected to bring Indian films closer to the Sri Lankan audience and give them a pleasurable movie viewing experience.

Presently, the company has 809 screens at 171 properties in 70 cities of India.
