This picture of a woman protesting is NOT from JNU; here’s the fact check

Yet another picture claiming to be of the JNU protest is making rounds online. In this picture, a middle-age woman can be seen protesting while police can be seen detaining her.

#JNU” the caption read.

FACT CHECK 

NewsMobile fact-checked the picture and found that it is old and is not related to JNU.

On putting the image through Reverse Image Search, we found this picture on the website of Outlook magazine. The caption of the video read, ‘Police arrests a woman who was participating in a protest demanding for minimum wage, at labour Commissioner Office in Hyderabad’.

According to the article, this picture was taken on Sep 19, 2017, and it is a PTI Image.

The above information proves that the picture is an old image and is NOT from JNU.
