The four accused in the case of rape and murder of a woman veterinarian have been killed in an encounter with police at Chatanpally of Shadnagar, 50 km from Hyderabad.
All four accused in Hyderabad veterinarian’s rape and murder case were killed in an encounter at 3:30am on Friday, Cyberabad police said.

The police sources said, the accused tried to flee when they were taken to Chatanpally, where the body of the vet was found.
Sources said the accused snatched the weapons from the police and started firing when they were taken to Chatanpally.
However, the Cyberabad police are yet to give an official statement on how the encounter took place. Senior police officials said they would announce details soon.
The encounter took place near the area where the accused allegedly raped the woman and killed her.
The veterinarian who was waiting for her two-wheeler with a flat tyre to get fixed was sexually assaulted, raped and killed in Hyderabad on November 29th. Four people related to the incident were detained in connection with the case.
The court had granted seven-day police custody of the accused. The police took them into custody and had been interrogating them since then.
The Telangana government had constituted a special fast track court at Mahabubnagar for the speedy disposal of the case and the Cyberabad police formed seven special teams to investigate into the case.
