Is this the childhood picture of Alibaba’s Jack Ma? Here’s the truth

A picture of a kid is doing rounds on social media and it has been claimed that he is Alibaba Co-founder Jack Ma.

Th caption of the picture read: “THE BOY IN YELLOW DIRTY CLOTH/RAG IN THE PICTURE POST BELOW; WHO ? : HERE YOU GO :

That is Jack Ma; the co-founder and executive chairman of Alibaba group and the richest man in China”

NewsMobile fact-checked the above post and found the claim attached to the picture to be FAKE.

On putting the above picture through Reverse Image Search, we came across an article dated May 05th, 2018 which had featured the same picture.

According to the article, the boy in the picture is 8-year-old Fan Xiaoqin who became an internet sensation as he looked like Jack Ma.

The above article claimed that Jack Ma had pledged to support Fan Xiaoqin’s (his lookalike) until he graduates from university. But in a separate report by Fortune, the spokesperson from the Alibaba group had denied the reports calling the news completely false.

In conclusion, the above information proves that the boy in the viral picture is NOT Jack Ma.
