Facebook owned instant messaging application, WhatsApp will end its support on certain devices from February 1, 2020.
This includes the termination of services on all Windows used software devices as it has ended its support to all Microsoft operated devices. Windows is owned by Microsoft.
Along with Microsoft, WhatsApp will stop its support to certain Android devices operated on Software 2.3.7 and some I-Phones working on iOS 8 or older operating systems.

This, however, does not mean that WhatsApp will stop functions immediately. It will continue, but no further software updates and security fixes will be available post this date.
Since July 2019, WhatsApp has not been available on devices with Windows software. Now, it has been made official with this announcement.
