A video is doing rounds on social media in which a woman and her newborn baby can be seen being removed from a grave. It has been claimed that ‘Muslims are being buried alive in India’.

At the time of filing this report, it had more than 3,000 Retweets.

We input a screenshot from the video into the InVid tool and found a link to a local news source in West Bengal on Reverse Image Search.

When we clicked on it and translated it, we found the story to be from January 31, 2020.

According to the article, a Muslim man buried his wife and child over a domestic issue. An investigation had been launched into the matter and the accused had fled.

Hence, the above information proves that the claim attached to the video is fake.
