Sudanese Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdock on Monday, narrowly survived an assassination attempt in the capital city of Kharatoum.
The explosion was planned as the Prime Minister was moving towards his office.
The other vehicles which were part of the security convoy were damaged. However, no injuries were reported.

Ali Bakhit, an official in the Prime Minister’s Office said:
“An explosion hit as Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok’s car was driving by but thank God no one was hurt.”
It has been reported that the Prime Minister has moved to a safe location currently.
Abdalla Hamdock took over from Omar Bashir in August 2019 after the former dictator stepped down due to growing street protests against his rule.
Hamdock is an economist of international repute and has 30 years of experience, working on issues specifically related to the African Economy.
In August 2019, after the ouster of Omar Bashir, a joint Military-Civilian rule began after the protesters and the armed forces managed to reach an agreement.
Following this agreement, a 11-member Sovereign council will rule Sudan for the next three years after which the fate of the country will be decided.
