Fact Check: India’s Ministry of Culture has NOT announced a relief scheme for artists affected by COVID-19

A message that is widely being shared on social media claims that the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, has announced a relief scheme for artists affected by COVID-19 and have asked them to send their personal details on the e-mail IDs provided in the message. 

The message also lists out the details that need to be proved to avail the scheme, such as –  name, address, contact details and bank details.

संस्कृति मंत्रालय भारत सरकार ने कलाकार के लिये यह योजना चालू की है जिन कलाकार को वास्तव में जरूरत है वह ही अप्लाई करें
यह संदेश केवल प्रदर्शन करने वाले कलाकारों (सभी श्रेणियों) के लिए है, जो वर्तमान स्थिति के कारण बहुत बुरी तरह से पीड़ित हैं, जो सभी कृपया ईमेल द्वारा अपना निम्नलिखित विवरण भेजें:
1. सेक्रेटरी @sangeetnatak.gov.in
2. secy-culture@nic.in
3. secjkculture56@gmail.com
संस्कृति मंत्रालय से राहत पाने के लिए, भारत सरकार ने हाल ही में उनके द्वारा घोषणा की।
आप व्यक्तिगत क्षमता में समूह लिख सकते हैं या एक समूह अपने कलाकारों के विवरण को उनके पत्र प्रमुख पर सामूहिक रूप से भेज सकते हैं।
आपके भेजे गए विवरण हैं:
1. कलाकार का नाम।
2. पितृत्व।
3. पूरा पता।
4. आप जिस कला से जुड़े हैं, उसका विवरण।
5. सेल नंबर और ईमेल।
